Pick Your Own Project (by the month)

Our most popular class – Pick a project is designed so that you can pick one or more than one project to get guidance on at your own level of experience.  This is great for the knitter who wants to try a new challenge or if you just learned how to knit and want to continue on…  We will have one teacher at every session that will be able to give you one-on-one help when you need it.  This class is a wonderful way to meet new friends and knitters and gather ide, as for new projects. Generally there are 8 hours of class in a month – $12.50 a week

           Beginning Knit One

Learn the basics of knitting: cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch, cast off, increasing, decreasing, slipping stitches, yarn over, knitting in the round & how to felt your project.  Your first project will be a big warm scarf and your second project will be a felted tote or purse. You will be truly amazed at your knowledge and capabilities after this class! Eight hours of class, patterns included. – $50.

  • Beginning Knit photo

          Beginning Crochet-

Learn the basic crochet stitches and more while working on a scarf and dishcloth. You will also learn how to make a granny square and edging.  Eight hours of class, pattern’s included. – $50

Wine & Cheese with Gunnar

Enjoy an evening of knitting, have a little cheese and a glass of wine. This relaxing evening of knitting is a must. Come and meet the new “behind the scenes” owner, Gunnar. (Non-alcoholic beverages also provided) – $7.50

March Potluck

Bring a dish to share and enjoy an evening of knitting, fellowship and a little fun! Prizes and a few games to help kick-off the Holiday season. Beverages provided. – $7.50

Blocking

Learn how to block in this hands-on class. You will need the following items (some we sell in the store) to bring to class: Blocking Mats, T-Pins or Blocking Wires, 2 old bath towels, measuring tape, pattern and completed project. You will need a tub to soak the project in as well.

Luna 2

Learn how to make this beautiful shawl for yourself or as a gift. Luna2 is a versatile shawl that can be worn as a scarf or add a nice shawl pin for a night on the town. Sample was made with 3 skeins of Sweet Georgia Yarn, one in each color, which we have in stock or any comparable fingering weight yarn.

Serious Moonlight with

Diane Augustin

Learn to make this beautiful poncho with or without beads. The self-striping yarn does all the work. Don’t Miss out on Diane’s latest creation sweeping the Twin Cities.

Knitting Retreat

Tunisian Crochet

Tunisian (also known as Afghan) crochet makes a beautifully textured, dense and squishy fabric. Diane Augustin teaches this amazing technique. You will need 2 skeins of Fantasy Naturale(different colors) and a size J or I Tunisian Hook.
